Why Creative Arts?
We all face times in our lives when our usual approach of thinking and talking about a problem doesn’t give us an answer.
As we experience life through all our senses- sight, sound, smell, shape and movement – words are often not enough to access and express our deepest truths. In such times art experiences of drama, movement, storytelling, music, sculpture, painting, drawing, clay work and collage can provide a path to new understanding.
What is the process?
The creative arts facilitator works with both groups and individuals.
In a welcoming, safe and confidential environment you will be given
- The opportunity to discover your story and have it respectfully attended to
- The chance to depict your experience and find out what it has to say to you about the themes in your life
- The tools to see which themes have become patterns in your life
- The opportunity to reflect on what you have discovered and decide what you want to do with what you now know
This will be a time for you to relax, connect, communicate and have fun. No artistic skill or experience is required.
